About Us
OUR HISTORY - Our
roots go back to a company named MAINTAIN SYSTEM 34; started
in 1982, we eventually had offices in Dallas, Houston, San
Antonio and Amarillo. The focus was on IBM System 34
maintenance and upgrades. As IBM introduced new models
(System 36, System 38 and the IBM AS/400) Maintain grew its
base of customers by providing service that rivaled IBM
Service. In 1986 the company began a series of mergers
culminating in it becoming part of one of the world’s
largest, international mainframe disk and tape manufactures.
In 1996 the founders of Maintain System 34 and some of the
original technicians and a salesman left that large company
and formed what is now MAINTAIN SYSTEMS, INC.
Many of our customers from the early 80’s are still doing
business with us today. We pride ourselves on the support we
have provided over the years and the business relationships
that have endured time.
OUR STAFF The core of Maintain Systems' success is the
loyalty and dedication of the people who joined the founders
-- many of whom have been associated since the early '80's.
